In a thrilling finish the Langley Farm Team won in dramatic fashion coming
back to beat the Dublin Pubcrawlers by the count of 4 to 3.
Langley won the game with a rally in the bottom of the 9th inning scoring 2
runs utilizing 2 base hits. Geoff Jenkins led off and he lined a single.
Kenny Lofton next to the plate and he popped a two-run clout over the fence
(his 3rd of the season) giving Langley the win much to the delight of the
home town crowd. Langley had 8 hits for the afternoon.
Eddie Guardado(1-2) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1 inning. Cal
Eldred(0-1) was given the loss in relief. 'We just wouldn't give up,'
Jenkins said. 'Much of the credit goes to our fans - they were with us the
whole way.'
